I am usually one that does not let things get me mad--but uncle bobs storage has the worst customer service in their stores. i got attitudes, i got laughed at and hung up on! I am due a refund that they said they would give me and now i am having to fight for MY $$$$! even the area manager hasnt returned my phone calls-i feel like i have been very patient. I put my things in storage back in dec so i could go home and take care of my sick mom. i always paid my bill on time if not early--when i finally got back in town i got my new place to live--i drove 45 mins to grab some stuff out of my storage unit--in toe were my 2 younger children. my storage unit was on the 2nd floor of the building. so we go up there and i drag several boxes out of my unit that i needed. i get them over to the elevator and the elevator is not working!! i call the office. the lady answered the phone and i asked if she knew that the elevator wasnt working--she said yes-i was a little crabby but told her how inconvient that was considering that i am trying to get things and watch my kids (my hubby is deployed). she got an attitude and said she had not idea when it would be fixed and i needed to deal with it!! i told her i wanted to speak w/ her manager--she wasnt there--so i said "have the manager call me tomorrow". so i luged my boxes down 2 flights of stairs and in to my car plus it was super hot that day. monday came--no phone call, tuesday-no call, wed-no call. so i called uncle bobs again. i got the same lady as i did on sunday. i told her who i was and that the manager had not called me back. she says "oh yeah i remember you" i asked for the manager and the manager was not there again! I told the lady that the elevator better be fixed by tomorrow cuz i was moving my stuff out. she laughed and me and said "who knows...it might not be"! seriously!!!!! so when i hung up w/ her i called the corporate offices and put in a complaint. about 2 hours later i finally get a phone call from the manager. she informs me that the only reason she called me was because she got a notice from the area manager about my complaint to corporate. The employee had STILL NOT given the manager my messages. so i tell the manager my story about her rude employee, and then i told her i want a refund for the remaining days i will not be using the storage unit. she said that should be fine--not a problem. and when i come in the next day to remove my things i needed to deal directly with her. so the next day comes-- it started off bad cuz the moving company i hired was an hour late! the moving co finally gets there with the first truck so they follow me into the security gate. about 10 mins later the actual big moving truck shows up--i need to get him in--so i called uncle bobs and the manager answered the phone--i asked if she could please open the gate for the truck--she tells me she cant but all i need to do is walk over and wave my hand infront of the sensor-so i do that. it wont open--so i call again and get the nasty employee (ugh) she proceeds to tell me in a nasty tone that i need to get in my car and set the wieght sensor off--i said "oh jesus christ" cuz yes i was irritated! she hung up on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was mad. but i remained calm and figured i would deal with her in a little bit. i finally got the movers in and they very slowly started to unload my unit (fyi--A C White= not a good moving company). finally after several hours that it took the movers to empty a 10x15 ft storage unit (yes seriously) i walked to the uncle bobs office to fill out my vacant papers. talked to the managar and was assured i would get my refund with in a week. she told me to call if i didnt get in the week time period. so a week went by--no refund-- i called her she said i will call you back at 2:30 pm. 2:30 came--no call so i finally called her again". "oh let me check on your refund i will call you back in 10 mins" 10 mins no call--after about 30 mins i called again and got no answer/. so then i called saturday no respond, sunday no respond, monday no respond?. finally on tues i called and this whole time i have been leaving messages on the voicemail.. so on tuesday i called and said :"if i dont get a phone call back by 10 am i am calling corporate again cuz i feel i have been very patient" 10 am no phone call-- bout 1015 i call corporate and put in another complaint|. the manager finally called me and kept giving me excuses---by this time i am getting pretty pissed cuz like i stated earlier--i have been more then patient! so as it goes everytime i call i either have to leave a message,but then i dont get a call back". i have even tried calling the area manager and he has not returned my voicemails;. i think its very very unprofessional how they have reacted to this whole situation!. all i want is my money and then i can be completely done with them! so if you do business with uncle bobs just please beware that if you are due any money you will have to fight for it 1289a5f

as a now x employee fired for unjust cause i'd say store elsewhere they treat thier help the same as customers underhanded

I've read all the Complaints,I beg to differ I've been w Uncle bobs for about 2 yrs and they're a wonderful company to work with, I store at the blasdell branch but have dealt with union rd for truck as well. Nothing but sweethearts. Melissa, Andrea & Aaron are great! Kudos to great management!

I rented this space mainly to house my Harley motorcycle because I do not have a... garage. On Sunday Oct 9th I entered my storage and it was full of saw dust. Everything in the storaged was layered with saw dust. However it weighed more on the side towards unit 118. On Monday I called and left a message on the answering maching for someone to call me. Tuesday I called the office and spoke to a young lady that informed me that the outdoor units will get dust. I explained to her that this was not just dust and that this appeared to be from some wood work being done. She then said the dust probably came from the business next door. I explained that was not possible. She claimed it has been windy and that it was possible. This young lady never looked in the unit and was not at all concerned. I explain that as a result I will find another storage and she said fine. I went and rented another storage right up the street even though I paid $143 for rent this month at your facility. I will not pay any amount of money to an establishment that does not know how to treat people. Port Arthur #131 don't rent there.

I've filed a complaint with the BBB--the HQ took my payment online and then turned around to say that I did not pay and sent me ugly letters stating that I owe late fees and also that they are going to open my storage unit and sell my stuff-- their websites are continually down and filed a complaint becuase they took my money and did not try to find out where it came from---then when their system was down--I called HQ and they told me the system was down with the local store manager on conf call with me--but still wanted to say it was my fault -something with my browser that wasn't pulling it up--RIDICULOUS--then after a full month of fighting with them--they said they can;t give me a month off my rent----so I am taking my stuff somewhere else--DO NOT DO BUSINESS WIH THESE PEOPLE!

I am really sorry you had to go through this!! I know it was really frustrating to deal with and I hope that you are able to get your money refunded, AND SOON! Go for getting the whole amount of it refunded--the entire amount that you paid to them. They didn't treat you right and I can't believe how poor their customer service skills are. They could use a few lessons in treating customers right. Sorry the kids had to be around them while they were pulling the shenanigans and I'm sorry they treated you and hubby like they did. Hopefully everyone reads this and makes sure not to do business with these people. It's not worth the trouble you went through with them. So sorry this happened!!! Take care :)
